Hello, Clinton Cardinals!

I am so excited to serve as part of the already amazing administrative staff in the Clinton School District this year!

It is my pleasure to serve as the Assistant Principal at Henry Elementary. This is my 11th year in education and my second year in the Clinton School District. I graduated from Missouri State with my undergraduate in Special Education: Mild Moderate Cross-Categorical degree and my Masters in Educational Leadership. I spent the first 5 years of my teaching career in the Lebanon School District as a special education teacher and then moved on and taught four years at John Boise Middle School in Warsaw, MO. During the 2021-2022 school year, I was the 6th grade ELA teacher at Clinton Middle School.

A little about me: I am married to Tim Townsend, also a teacher in the district, and we share 3 children together; Ainsley (7), Easton (7) and Axton (3). When we are not working, we enjoy watching the Atlanta Braves and Denver Broncos play, watching my husband's and kids' teams play their sports, swimming in our pool, taking Ranger rides with the kids and just enjoying our friends and family together. Our family motto is, “if you build it, they will come.” That’s why we enjoy updating our home to be able to host family and friend gatherings. Having young children, our lives revolve around them, which is why I am so excited to be a part of the elementary school family now!

My goal for this year is to build positive relationships with students and their families, and to continue the progress and culture of our Henry building. I look forward to meeting with everyone this year and getting the school year started.
